Top 10 World Class Poetry Pages

Last month, November 2007, World Class Poetry set a new record with more than 6,000 visits and more than 4,000 unique visitors. If you’re not familiar with website analytics and how to track website usage, what that means is 4,174 people visited the site who had never visited before and of all visitors who visited World Class Poetry, they came to visit 6,104 times. I’m getting a lot of repeat usage evidently.

I decided I’d highlight the top 10 most visited pages at World Class Poetry to give my readers here at the World Class Poetry Blog a chance to see what all the hype is about. Here they are, the top 10 most visited pages at World Class Poetry for the month of November 2007 (the list excludes my RSS feed page, which is the most visited):

• Petrarchan Sonnet - This web page is dedicated to the Petrarchan Sonnet form. It’s the most visited page on the World Class Poetry website.
• Types of Poetry - People are interested in the different types of poetry that poets write. This is the proof.
• Home Page - The World Class Poetry index page is the third most popular web page at World Class Poetry.
• Harlem Renaissance - This period in literary history was very rich and gave prominence to several unique African-American poetic voices.
• Childrens Poetry - Children love poetry too.
• The Sonnet Form - This page celebrates the Shakespearean and Spenserian sonnet forms.
• Langston Hughes - Langston Hughes is a celebrated poet who deserves his own page. Well, he got it and it’s a popular web page at World Class Poetry.
• Hyperbole - The World Class Poetry ezine sign up page made the top 10. I think you should visit and sign up for Hyperbole, the World Class Poetry ezine.
• Poetry Terms - Want to know the poetry terms? This is the page you need to visit.
• Poetry Blog - The onsite poetry blog at World Class Poetry features new pages of the website. Every time I update the website with a new page, it appears here on the poetry blog. Almost The 3% of the traffic that enters http://www.world-class-poetry.com enters through the poetry blog.
